Amazing news! We now have a defibrillator at Danson Park, Bexleyheath, Kent.
In 2022, we at Help Save Lives managed to get 10 Greenwich primary schools supplied with a defibrillator thanks to a sponsor. In 2023 the Department of Education realised at last that schools need defibrillators, so they sent every school in the UK a defibrillator if they didn’t already have one. Fantastic!
One of our schools, (Bishop John Robinson C of E school, Thamesmead) that we supplied a sponsored device to in 2022 received one of these from the Department of Education. So, they contacted us and have given back the device that we donated to them.
So, we have decided to place this amazing defibrillator in Danson Park as, believe it or not, Danson Park does not have a defibrillator. There was one a few years ago, but that has gone.
So if you use Danson Park, the new defibrillator is located at ‘The Danson Stables’ pub/restaurant. We have registered the device on ‘The Circuit’, so that the ambulance service know it is there too.
So now people can be safer when visiting beautiful Danson Park.
In case you do not know – if you are ever at an incident where a person needs the help of a defibrillator and do not know where one is – call 999 and they will tell you.
