Our first aid training
At Help Save Lives, we’re committed to making sure every child in the UK has access to age-appropriate, effective first aid training.
Our FAB classes run from 60-90 minutes. We’ve been delivering these classes since 2019 at primary schools around the country.
We can hold up to 30 or 60 children per class. Every child takes home their own copy of the FAB First Aid for Children book along with a certificate and a sticker.
We encourage the children to go home and talk to their friends and family about what they’ve learned so their first aid knowledge benefits the whole community.

Fab First Aid – for 4-6 year olds
Meet Betty. She’s one of our child friendly CPR manikins.
Our smallest students learn about the heart and what it does, and what a defibrillator is and why we use it.
They learn how to call 999 in the event of an emergency, stay on the line until the emergency services arrive, and safely let them in. They also get an introduction to first aid for choking, burns, bumps and bleeding.
Rhona’s sessions are encouraging, participative, and use her fun adventures of FABland to help the children understand and remember the essentials of first aid.

Fab First Aid – for 7-11 year olds
Meet Bobby. He’s another of our child friendly CPR manikins. He also stars with Betty in the FABland adventure stories.
In this older course, the students learn the principles of DRABC – Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and Circulation. They also learn about the heart and CPR, including how to do chest compressions practicing on our mannequins. The children also learn how to use a defibrillator.
The goal is for all our graduates to know instinctively what to do in an emergency situation.
